Standard Insurance
All Rent a Dent vehicles have insurance cover which is included in the rate quoted. This is referred to as our Standard Insurance Cover.Provided the "Rental Terms and Conditions" and use of the vehicle is complied with by the hirer (and the listed drivers) the standard Insurance excess applies to all drivers.
Drivers under the age of 25 years have a higher excess applied. A higher excess will also apply to 4WD, Minibus and Commercial Vehicles.
Excess
- The Standard Insurance Excess for 25 years and over: $1200 (incl GST).- Drivers 21-25 years: Additional $500 (incl GST).
- Drivers under 21 years: Additional $1000 (incl GST).
- 4WD, Minibus and Commercial Vehicles: Additional $500 (incl GST).
Licence criteria.
All drivers to have held a full licence for a minimum of 3yrs.CDR (Collision Damage Reduction)
C.D.R can be purchased to reduce the Standard Insurance Excess for drivers 25 yrs of age and over, to $300.00 by paying an extra daily charge (4WD, Minibus and Commercial Vehicle Loading still applies )In the event of an accident, a claim form must be completed by the hirer (or the listed additional driver) and handed in to the Rent a Dent branch concerned.
